A Great way to Support NYC Restaurants this Holiday
Going out to eat is probably my favorite activity in the city. Every weekend my wife and I are finding new spots and revisiting old favorites. Now I’ve done my fair share of outdoor dining since the pandemic, but it’s honestly just not enough, which is where this cookbook comes in.
New York is home to more than 26,000 restaurants and their owners, servers, workers could really use your help right now. One way to do that from the comfort of your home is to purchase the following cookbook Serving New York. The book comes in two formats digital and most recently a hardcopy version (I’m patiently awaiting my copy). It contains more than 45 easy, pantry-friendly recipes from NYC’s best restaurants.
I don’t get a kick-back on this, I just really love the idea and want to use my platform to support an industry I love. So if you’re looking for a gift for that person who used to live in New York or just loves New York, this is it.
I’m looking forward to sharing recipes from it with you in 2021.
**100% of the profits from this hardcover book will go to ROAR (Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants) x Robin Hood’s restaurant relief fund, providing cash assistance to NYC restaurant workers.

Brunch: New York Diner Breakfast
One of my favorite activities on a Saturday morning is walking to our neighborhood diner and having a breakfast sandwich. There’s something about those New York City bagels that make it extra delicious. I took a stab at making these beloved sandwiches at home and they turned out great – we sometimes even skip the diner now so we can stay in our pajamas. Recipe in the comments of this post (it was an early one). Tell me how yours turned out in the comments.

Sunday Dinner: Carbone’s Spicy Rigatoni
One of my favorite restaurants in the city is Carbone in the village. During quarantine my wife and I were craving some of our favorite Italian so we gave this recipe a try. It might not be exact, but it sure is tasty. You can see some of my other favorite restaurants under the CITY tab on my homepage, but until you can make it to NYC, feel free to join me in my Instagram highlights under “Sunday Nights” to make this delicious vodka sauce.
