‘Tis The Season for Holiday Cookies
Soft, chewy, and loaded with peanut butter make these cookies one of my favorites for the season!
Peanut Butter Blossoms
The ultimate cookie recipe perfect for the holidays.Ingredients
- ½ cup Unsalted Butter
- ½ cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsps milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- sugar to roll the cookie in
- 48 foil wrapped chocolate pieces, unwrapped
Instructions
- HEAT oven to 375°F. Cream together shortening, peanut butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well
- STIR together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Beat on low speed until stiff dough forms.
- SHAPE dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
- BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- TOP each cookie immediately with chocolate piece, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from baking sheet to cool.

Brunch: New York Diner Breakfast
One of my favorite activities on a Saturday morning is walking to our neighborhood diner and having a breakfast sandwich. There’s something about those New York City bagels that make it extra delicious. I took a stab at making these beloved sandwiches at home and they turned out great – we sometimes even skip the diner now so we can stay in our pajamas.
